Ancient Aliens S12.E15 The Alien Disks

Episode aired Sep 8, 2017

Hundreds of strange disks are discovered in a cave in China that appear to tell the story of an ancient extraterrestrial crash on Earth.

Dropa stones

A Han-era bì (璧;), 16 centimetres (6.3 in) in diameter.

According to what may be the earliest version of the tale, which appeared in July 1962 on the German magazine Das vegetarische Universum, in 1937 an archeological expedition in the Bayan Har mountains led by Chi Pu Tei found 716 granite discs with tiny hieroglyph-like markings, dated to 12,000 years before present. Star maps and mummies with thin bodies and unusually large heads were also present at the site. After more than two decades of work at the "Academy of Prehistory" in Beijing, Chinese archeologists and linguists managed to translate the markings and concluded that the discs had been carved by extraterrestrials in the aftermath of their crash in the Sino-Tibetan border region. These conclusions were published by Tsum Um Nui in an academic journal, but were met with ridicule. Tsum then left for Japan in self-imposed exile and died shortly after. The discs are sometimes claimed to measure up to 1 foot (30 cm) in diameter and carry two grooves in the form of a double spiral originating from a hole in the center, with hieroglyphs inscribed within the grooves and visible with a magnifying glass.

In 1966 the story was republished by Vyacheslav Zaitsev in the Soviet magazine Sputnik. Zaitsev added that several discs had been shipped to Moscow on request of Soviet researchers, who discovered that they contained large amount of cobalt and other metals, that they behaved as electrical conductors, and that they produced a humming sound when placed on a special turntable.

Supposedly, in 1974 Austrian engineer Ernst Wegerer (or Wegener) visited the Banpo Museum in Xi'an, Shaanxi, where he saw two of the Dropa stones. It is said that he inquired about the discs but received no information, although he was allowed to take one in his hand and photograph them up close. By 1994 the discs could no longer be found.

The Phaistos Disc (also spelled Phaistos Disk, Phaestos Disc) is a disk of fired clay from the Minoan palace of Phaistos on the island of Crete, possibly dating to the middle or late Minoan Bronze Age (second millennium BC). The disk is about 15 cm (5.9 in) in diameter and covered on both sides with a spiral of stamped symbols. Its purpose and its original place of manufacture remain disputed. It is now on display at the archaeological museum of Heraklion.

The disc was discovered in 1908 by the Italian archaeologist Luigi Pernier in the Minoan palace-site of Phaistos, and features 241 tokens, comprising 45 distinct signs, which were apparently made by pressing hieroglyphic "seals" into a disc of soft clay, in a clockwise sequence spiralling toward the center of the disk.

The Phaistos Disc captured the imagination of amateur and professional archaeologists, and many attempts have been made to decipher the code behind the disc's signs. While it is not clear that it is a script, most attempted decipherments assume that it is; most additionally assume a syllabary, others an alphabet or logography. Attempts at decipherment are generally thought to be unlikely to succeed unless more examples of the signs are found, as it is generally agreed that there is not enough context available for a meaningful analysis.

The Tablet of Shamash is a stele recovered from the ancient Babylonian city of Sippar in southern Iraq in 1881; it is now a major piece in the British Museum's ancient Middle East collection. It is dated to the reign of King Nabu-apla-iddina ca. 888 – 855 BC.

Legends of the Inca and the mysterious Sun Disk that disappeared after opening a Stargate

The legends about the sun disk suggest that it was used to open a portal to other worlds at the Gate of the Gods, La Puerta de Hayu Marca. The bizarre and spectacular 23-foot square doorway-like structure near Lake Titicaca is considered by some a possible Stargate. An average-height person can stand inside the carved out T-shaped “door.” In the middle of this door, there is a small circular depression, as if for holding something in place.

Viracocha is the great creator deity in the pre-Inca and Inca mythology in the Andes region of South America. Full name and some spelling alternatives are Wiracocha, Apu Qun Tiqsi Wiraqutra[citation needed], and Con-Tici (also spelled Kon-Tiki, the source of the name of Thor Heyerdahl's raft). Viracocha was one of the most important deities in the Inca pantheon and seen as the creator of all things, or the substance from which all things are created, and intimately associated with the sea.

Viracocha created the universe, sun, moon, and stars, time (by commanding the sun to move over the sky) and civilization itself. Viracocha was worshipped as god of the sun and of storms. He was represented as wearing the sun for a crown, with thunderbolts in his hands, and tears descending from his eyes as rain. In accord with the Inca cosmogony, Viracocha may be assimilated to Saturn, the "old god", the maker of time or "deus faber" (god maker), corresponding to the visible planet with the longest revolution around the sun.

Guy Warren Ballard (July 28, 1878 – December 29, 1939) was an American mining engineer who, with his wife Edna Anne Wheeler Ballard, founded the "I AM" Activity.

Ballard was born in Newton, Kansas and married his wife in Chicago in 1916. Ballard served in the U.S. Army in World War I, and then became a mining engineer. Both Edna and Guy studied Theosophy and the occult extensively.

Phosgene is the organic chemical compound with the formula COCl2. It is a toxic, colorless gas; in low concentrations, its musty odor resembles that of freshly cut hay or grass.[7] It can be thought of as formaldehyde with the hydrogen atoms replaced by chlorine atoms. Phosgene is a valued and important industrial building block, especially for the production of precursors of polyurethanes and polycarbonate plastics.

Phosgene is extremely poisonous and was used as a chemical weapon during World War I, where it was responsible for 85,000 deaths. It is a highly potent pulmonary irritant and quickly filled enemy trenches due to it being a heavy gas.
