WHAT ON EARTH S1 EP6 Nazi Ice Fortress

Min Min Lights of the Australian Outback

In the Outback of Queensland, Australia, ghostly orbs of light have been frightening people for centuries. Local residents call them Min Min lights, named after the early settlement and hotel in Boulia. Seemingly persistent one moment, but fleeting the next, the lights follow travelers far across the land and seem to have an intelligence about them. The town of Boulia has become somewhat famous for the ghost lights. Oral traditions of Aboriginal people recorded them as having existed even before the colonization of Europeans in Australia. What do we know about the mystery of the orbs and what are some of the theories about what they could be?

The show leaves out the ground observations the link describes. Observers have a grander description.

Google earth reveals strange Antarctic entrances – evidence of secret UFO bases?

On Google Earth one can find two large entrances that extend below the Antarctic surface and ice near the coastline. For some observers, they are natural caverns formed over time by the intense Antarctic weather conditions. Not so according to Scott Waring owner of the popular UFO Sightings blog. In a post released yesterday, Waring claimed that they might be entrances to an alien base or a secret facility of some kind. He highlighted a video containing close-ups of the two large entrances. In the video, there is also an image of what Waring believes to be a huge saucer shaped object buried under melting ice near Antarctica. While there is no Google Earth image available of the mysterious buried UFO, the cave/base entrances are available for independent analysis. If the latter are indeed entrances to underground bases, then it would appear that claims that UFOs have bases in Antarctica, and may have even helped fleeing World War II Nazis escape a punitive U.S. Naval expedition, are not so far-fetched after all.

Weaubleau Impact Crater

The Weaubleau (or Weaubleau-Osceola) structure appears to be a 7 to 8 km diameter impact crater located in St. Clair County, Missouri. It dates from the latest Osagean to earliest Meramecian stage of the Mississippian, about 340 million years ago.

This site has United States all impact craters. It has detailed analysis.

It is important to note that events like this are described in the Bible. Earth appears to have regular cataclysms. If our 'lights' in the sky are another secular lie, we should not preclude a more godly interpretation. Civilizations that cross boundaries playing god or tampering with the creation seem to be reset to zero. That is not a repetitive pattern to take lightly.

Matthew 24:29

Immediately after the tribulation of those days: 'The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.'

Revelation 6:13

and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, like unripe figs dropping from a tree shaken by a great wind.

Iram of the Pillars, the Lost ‘Atlantis of the Sands’

The literature of past civilizations often mention cities which are now lost to humanity, the most famous of those being the lost city of Atlantis. On a smaller scale, Arabia has its own legend of a lost civilization, the so-called ‘Atlantis of the Sands’ – a lost city, tribe, or area spoken of in the Quran, which has come to be known as Iram of the Pillars.

In the Quran, Iram was said to be adorned with lofty buildings, and was populated by a group of people known as Ad. As they had turned away from Allah and led wicked lives, the prophet Hud was sent to summon them to return to the worship of Allah without ascribing partners to Him, and to obey Him. The people of Iram reacted with hostility and did not heed to words of Hud. As a result, the Ad were punished, and a sandstorm was sent against their city consecutively for seven nights and eight days. In the end, Iram vanished beneath the sands as though it had never existed. On one hand, the story of Iram may be taken just as a morality tale, used in order to preach that people must obey Allah, and not behave in an arrogant manner. On the other hand, there may be some truth to this story, and indeed there are many who believe that such a city could have once existed.

These Scientists Think "Hexagonal Clouds" Could Explain The Bermuda Triangle

A group of scientists believe they have the answer to the decades of sea tales surrounding the Bermuda Triangle. The new idea says this much-feared triangular region of the Atlantic ocean may be explained through strange “hexagonal clouds” creating “air-bombs”.

While looking at satellite images of coastal clouds above the North Atlantic Ocean, the meteorologists reportedly noted strange patterns of hexagonal gaps as large as 88 kilometers (55 miles) in the cloud formations, according to Science Channel. It just so happens, this bizarre phenomenon was found on the west tip of the Bermuda Triangle, as well as a precarious point in Europe's North Sea.

This list of rogue waves compiles incidents of known and likely rogue waves – also known as freak waves, monster waves, killer waves, and extreme waves. These are relatively large and spontaneous ocean surface waves that occur in deep water, usually far out at sea, and are a threat even to large ships and ocean liners.

Mysterious patterns found in Chinese desert 'are result of geological surveys for nickel mines'

Riddle solved? Mysterious objects spotted by Google Map satellite in Gobi desert explained

A Google Maps satellite spotted a series of bizarre structures during a sweep of the Gobi desert in China - and the mysterious objects sparked a wave of speculation that they could be anything from 'codes' to be read from space to practice targets modelled on US cities.

But it now seems likely that the structures are used to calibrate China's spy satellites, according to Natalie Wolchover of website Life's Little Mysteries.

So from the same newspaper over two years we have competing stories. Remember what is in the news is just a story.
